Traditional OPC DA, OPC HDA, & OPC AE Data Sources (Windows XP & Vista)
Overview
Projects generated from the Status
Designer are published as a single .NET
assembly. This assembly is hosted by the Status
Client and connects to your OPC server using
traditional DCOM. The Trend control in Status
can connect to live OPC DA or OPC HDA data
sources. Alarming and Eventing in Status is
supported using the Alarming control.
Required Components
- Status Vision Designer® (1 per designer)
- Status Client for Windows (1 per client)
- Your OPC Server (OPC DA, OPC HDA, OPC AE)
- .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 is required for both the Status Client and the Status Designer
- Core OPC Components from the OPC Foundation (included with the Status install) are required on the machine that runs the Status Client and the Status Designer
